Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the official notice for RRB JE Exam Date 2026 on 7th January 2026, notifying that the CBT Exam for CEN 05/2025 (JE/DMS/CMA) will be conducted on 19th, 20th February and 3rd March 2026.
Further details will be released along with RRB JE Admit Card 2026, which will be released 4 days before the exam date, and city intimation will be released 10 days before the scheduled exam date.
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the complete schedule for RRB JE Recruitment 2026 along with its official notification. As per RRB Exam Calendar 2026, RRB JE RRB Junior Engineer, Chemical Supervisor & Metallurgical Supervisor, Depot Material Superintendent posts are scheduled for 31 October to 19th, 20th February and 3rd March 2026.

The Railway Group D Vacancy 2026 will be announced zonal-wise by the Railway Recruitment Board. This year, approximately 22000 vacancies will be announced for Pointsman, Assistant, Track Maintainer, Assistant Loco Shed, Assistant Operations, Assistant Operations, and Assistant TL & AC posts.

The eligibility criteria for RRB Group D will be calculated in terms of nationality, educational qualification, and age limit. Only those candidates will be selected for RRB Group D recruitment process who fulfill the RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria as mentioned below An eligibility update for RRB Group D 2026 has been notified saying CCAA-certified candidates are eligible to apply for Railway Group D CCAA Recruitment 2026.
Nationality
A candidate must be either:
a. a citizen of India, or
b. a citizen of Nepal, or
c. a subject of Bhutan, or
d. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
e. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
f. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Education Qualification Candidates with a 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT are eligible to apply for the RRB Group D 2026 Exam. Candidates with Course Completed Act Apprentices/ITI for the post of Level-1 unless otherwise specified. Those awaiting the results of their final examination of the prescribed minimum educational/technical qualification are not eligible to apply.
Candidates who have completed Course Complete Act Apprentices from any trade.
Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)
Candidates who fall in the age group of 18 to 33 years as of 01st January 2026 are eligible to apply for the Railway RRB Group D exam. Age relaxation is provided as per the norms.
Medical Standards. Candidates invited for Document Verification (DV) must pass the Railway Administration’s medical fitness test(s). This ensures they are medically capable of performing the duties required for their chosen post(s).

Steps to Apply for Railway RRB Group D Recruitment 2026
Candidates have to submit their online applications for RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 by following the below-mentioned steps.
Visit the official website http://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/.
Click on the ‘New Registration’ link.
Register for the exam and submit the required details like name, date of birth and father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of passing, mobile number, email ID and then submit the registration form.
Upon registration, candidates need to verify their email ID and mobile number through OTP.
Login on the home page using the registration number and password.
In Part I of the application page, candidates had to provide the details of educational qualification, community, gender, religion, Ex-Servicemen, CCAA, Minority, Economically Backward Class Age Relaxation and other details.
In Part II of the application page, candidates had to indicate his/her priority/preference for the posts.
On completion of application details, candidates were redirected to the payment page using Online Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI and Offline Challan.
Candidates were required to choose the exam language.
Candidates had to fill in the details of a valid photo ID card.
Enter bank details to get the refund of fees.
Candidates had to upload their scanned images of photographs and signatures as per the format and SC/ST candidates were required to upload the category certificates.
Candidates had to agree to the terms and conditions and submit the application form.
RRB Group D 2026- Medium of Exam
The questions for RRB Group D 2026 CBT will be available in English, Hindi and 13 regional Indian languages that are as follows-
Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.
Railway Administration reserves the right to conduct the CBT in either single or multi-stage mode. Candidates qualifying in the CBT shall have to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). It will be followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. There shall be a negative marking for 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
The minimum percentage of marks for shortlisting for UR is 40%, EWS is 40%, OBC (Non-creamy layer)/SC/ST is 30%.

Once the exam is over, the Railway Recruitment Board will release the provisional answer key with the correct responses to the questions asked in the examination. The candidates will also be allowed to challenge the answer key with a fixed amount. The final answer key will be released after the objections are assessed by the exam authority.
