RRB JE 2026- Exam Summary

RRB JE Recruitment 2026- Important Dates
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the official notice for RRB JE Exam Date 2026 on 7th January 2026, notifying that the CBT Exam for CEN 05/2025 (JE/DMS/CMA) will be conducted on 19th, 20th February and 3rd March 2026.
Further details will be released along with RRB JE Admit Card 2026, which will be released 4 days before the exam date, and city intimation will be released 10 days before the scheduled exam date.
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the complete schedule for RRB JE Recruitment 2026 along with its official notification. As per RRB Exam Calendar 2026, RRB JE RRB Junior Engineer, Chemical Supervisor & Metallurgical Supervisor, Depot Material Superintendent posts are scheduled for 31 October to 19th, 20th February and 3rd March 2026.

RRB JE 2026 Selection Process
As mentioned in the previous year’s RRB JE Notification, the selection of the candidates will be done through 4 different phases. The candidates have to qualify in each stage to get shortlisted for the Railway JE 2026 Recruitment.
Stage 1- 1st Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-I)
Stage 2- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2)
Stage 3- Document Verification
Stage 4- Medical Examination
RRB JE 2026 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for RRB JE 2026 for CBT 1 and CBT 2 Exam, as declared by the Railway Recruitment Board is as follows-
1. There shall be a negative marking of ⅓ marks for incorrect answers in CBTs.
2. The duration of the CBT 1 Exam is 90 minutes, and for the CBT 2 Exam is 120 minutes.
3. In CBT 1, there will be 100 questions, and in CBT 2, there will be 150 questions.
4. The types of questions in the Computer-Based Test will be Objective type (Multiple Choice Questions).

RRB JE 2026 Admit Card
The admit cards will be available to download a week before the RRB JE 2026 examination. The steps to download the RRB JE admit card are given below.

Log in with the registration number and DOB created during registration.
The page will be redirected to a profile dashboard where the option to download admit card will be available. Click on it.

Download admit card and take a printout of it.
RRB JE 2026 Cut Off
RRB releases the minimum qualifying marks and cut-off after the completion of CBT-I. The expected minimum qualifying marks are 40% for general, 30% for OBC and SC, and 25% for ST category candidates. Qualifying marks are calculated out of 100 and 150 for CBT-I and CBT-II respectively. Have a look at the cutoff marks for the last exam held in 2019.
